WEEKLY UPDATE: November 19thWhat a week of weather. We've had rain, sun, wind summer, winter and still it mixes it up for us. Our coaches started the training session on Wednesday in the dry and by midway through the first session were soaked to the bone. That didn't stop everyone in attendance from having a great time and trying out some wet weather skills! Don't forget to wash those bikes and gear ready for the next outing. Congratulations to our riders that travelled over the last couple of weekends to race meets in Hamilton, Cambridge, Hawera and New Plymouth. This weekend we have a crew of 22 heading off to Rotorua for the Tauranga race meet. Good luck to all riders competing. By now you should have all received your 2026 membership renewal links. If you have not please let us know and we can send out a new link.  |

NUMBER PLATES: We've got you covered When it comes to plates - Sprocket and Strider Memberships include a BMXNZ issued number plate with a pre-allocated number. We have these available for collection from the points hut for anyone that has recently signed up and doesn't yet have a plate. For current Sprocket riders who turn 8 next year, you will need to change your plate from white with red numbers to either the Male or Female 20" plate. These can be ordered directly through our website or the Sporty App and come in both small and large sizes. |

UPCOMING RACE EVENTS Next weekend Whangārei are hosting an NQM and kick off the first round of the Northern Region Race Series (NRRS), and the Northern Region Club Challenge (NRCC). If you are chasing NQMs for next years Nationals this is an easy event to get to and is usually lots of fun.

Competing in the NRRS is a great way to experience racing against other riders and build your fitness. The Club Challenge is a series where each Northern Region club selects 4 riders per event that earn points to determine the top club. For more information check out the information here: Make sure you check out the BMXNZ Race Calendar as there is plenty of racing to come between now and the end of the year, including the start of the NRRS!
Don't forget if you want to enter Nationals next year at Te Awamutu you need to have raced at 4 NQM events in the prior year (if you double class, that's 4 on each bike). WORKING BEE: Sunday 23rd November A reminder that this Sunday the 23rd of November we are having a working bee at the track from 9am to tidy up the track and facility. |

We have a few jobs on our list that we'd like to tackle:
Bring old clothes, a hat, tools, weedeaters/line trimmers, painting equipment, wheelbarrows etc. We'll supply drinks and lunch for all helpers on the day courtesy of our canteen. Kids will be able to ride portions of the track if safe to do so.
