SECOND HAND SALE: This FridayIt's time to clear out your sheds and get ready to grab a bargain! |
This Friday during club night we will have the gazebos and some tables set up alongside the canteen for a 2nd hand sale. Bring along bikes, components, racing gear or anything else BMX related. If you've got something to sell please label items with the price, your name, phone number and bank account (or an envelope for cash). We'd love a volunteer (or two) to watch over the stand and assist where required. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . |
CLUB NIGHT SURVEY: 2025We are always looking at how we can provide more to our members and cater for all skill levels. With 6 clubs in the Northern Region there is plenty of racing that can be had on a weekly basis at various club nights: - TUESDAY
North Harbour BMX: Cnr Appian Way & Oteha Valley Rd, Albany - WEDNESDAY
East City BMX: 54 - 64 Howard Hunter Ave, St Johns, Auckland Sunset Coast BMX: 80 Attewell Road, Pukekohe, Auckland Whangārei BMX: 109 Dave Culham Drive, Whangarei - FRIDAY
Mountain Raiders BMX: 2 Bells Road, Pakuranga Heights, Auckland Waitākere BMX: 103 Glen Rd, Ranui, Auckland
Unfortunately with both Waitākere and Mountain Raiders running their club nights on a Friday night it makes it hard to compete against each other. It has been floated as an idea that we occasionally run our club night on a Thursday night so the Mountain Raiders team could come to our track and we could go to their track. How this would work with regards to our Thursday training and everyone's availability is unknown. However, as an early indication we would appreciate if all members could provide their thoughts through the following survey. We know change can be challenging, but without asking the questions we don't know the answers. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . |
RACE RESULTS: Sunset Coast Congratulations to all riders that headed out to Sunset Coast for their first race meet in a long time. It was cold on the sidelines but our racers did incredibly well on a track that was both challenging and long! A huge shout out to everyone that raced for the first time, or that stepped it up to double class on either 2 different bikes or through the NRRS. It was a huge evening of racing for everyone. |

We do not expect everyone to be there week in and week out, but we'd love to know how YOU can help. What special skills can you offer, what are you passions, or areas of interest that you would like to be involved in? - PRE-RACE JOBS - Gate set-up, Points Hut set-up, unlocking and checking the Hire Gear, Canteen Preparation.
- DURING RACING - Points Hut Operation, Gate Operator, Staging and Call-Up, Corner Marshalls, First-Aid, Canteen Staff
- POST-RACE - Gate pack-up, Hire return and lockup, Points Hut pack-up, Canteen clean-up, Rubbish Collection
We are more than happy to upskill you, and buddy you up so you can learn the ropes. For some families we realise you have younger riders and may need to assist them during race times. When you're new to the sport we don't expect you to step up straight away. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . |
